20   A few nights ago many of you--just in about a month before going over to Africa... Many of you perhaps has the tape (of you people that get the tapes) on "Choosing a Bride," was preached in California. The last few minutes of that tape, I don't remember of ever being there. But the Spirit of the Lord came in such a way. I'd been condemning them the way they were living and doing, and after the Gospel had been preached and declared before them so much. And all of a sudden the Holy Spirit spoke out and said, "Capernaum (See?), the city that calls yourself by the name of the angels (That's Los Angeles.), thou art exalted into heaven, but be brought down to hell." See? And then after that it was over, why, I was outside. And Brother Mosley and Billy was with me, and they said, went back and looked, and the whole floor was just laying full of people, ministers sobbing.

And I went and got the Scripture; I said, "There's something about that in the Bible." And it was Jesus rebuking Capernaum, all those coastal cities that He had visit. Why He said, "Capernaum, thou art exalted into heaven, will be brought down into hell." He said, "For if the works had been done in Sodom and Gomorrah that's been done in you, it'd been standing today." And at that time Sodom and Gomorrah was in the bottom of the sea. And just after that, maybe a hundred years or something after Jesus' prophecy, Capernaum, the only coastal city that He'd visit, a earthquake sunk it in the sea. You know, that was a direct answer to California, to Los Angeles.

And then at Tucson the other day, just as I got back, a great earthquake had happened out there. And the scientists was on the television drawing it out. It was in the papers, that the earth the other day split from the Aleutian Islands--or from Alaska around the Aleutian Islands, about two hundred miles out into the sea, come back in at San Diego, went around Los Angeles, and come out at San Diego. And it pulled loose several inches. Houses has toppled down. Motels has went in. And the scientist on this panel was--was asked, said, "Well, that could fall in someday?"

He said, "Could? It will." And he used a scientific names of how the lava has... That's what's caused these earthquakes all along around San Diego and down in there; it's been that hollow place. And now, all of it's begin to break in like sand falling in. And now, it's just a crust and it's pulled loose several inches. They could take radar and stuff, and follow that crack, and mark out, see where it was at. And it pulled loose several inches more, maybe two or three inches the--the other day again, right after that prophecy was given. And the ones that was interviewing the scientist said, "Well, it probably won't be in our age." He said, "It could be in five minutes or in five years, but it's going to fall in."

Mrs. Simpson, I don't think she's with us today; or... I see Brother Fred setting here, but I don't know where Mrs. Simpson is. She went and got a prophecy that I made about 1935 or something like that, and said: "The time would come (It's written in a book somewhere.) that the sea would weep it's way into the desert."Look what'll take place. If that thousands of square miles falls down into the lava of the earth and slides in, there'll be millions die at one time. And that'll cause such a tidal wave... Remember, plumb up into the Salton Sea is a hundred or two hundred feet lower than the sea level. That water will probably come almost to Tucson with that tidal wave coming across there. And the sea shall weep its way into the desert.

Nations are breaking; Israel's awakening, The signs that our prophets foretold;
The Gentile days are numbered, With horrors encumbered. Return, Oh dispersed, to your own.
We're in the end time. Now, the Lord bless you richly. I get started on that and forget about time. We're going to fade quick--pretty quickly into eternity anyhow.

IS A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE IN CALIFORNIA POSSIBLE?
The  Pacific Ring of Fire has been in a deep lull over the pass four days after  giving us the major 8.0 magnitude earthquake in Peru that produced over 100 powerful aftershocks that decimated the country, killed over 510 people and injured more than 1,500.

JAPAN’S MAJOR EARTHQUAKE
During a very active twelve weeks period that started around June 13,  2007, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake on July 16, 2007 closed the world’s  largest nuclear power plant in Niigata, Japan. The devastation spilled radioactive waste into the world’s oceans, killed 10 people, injured 1,000 and displaced 13,000 ordinary Japanese. As printed in major news media,  the political fallout was nothing short of a total collapse.

All major coordinate points  north, south, east and west of the Pacific Ring of Fire, including its  center in Hawaii, have experienced significant earthquake activity since  June 2007. Some of these earthquakes have registered up to 7.0 magnitudes on the Richter scale.

PREDICTION OF A  MAJOR EARTHQUAKE IN CALIFORNIA
You don’t need to be a geologist,  seismologist, modern scientist, psychic, dowser, shaman, metaphysician or have consciousness expanding lucid, nocturnal or awake dreams to  rationally deduct, deduce or speculate that California is the only major  coordinate point on the Pacific Ring of Fire that has not experienced a  major earthquake over 5.0 magnitude on the Richter scale over the past  twelve weeks since June 13, 2007.

WILL A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE OCCUR  SOON IN CALIFORNIA?
Unless the Pacific Ring of Fire continues to remain relatively calm, as it has been over the past four days, a major  earthquake in California is always possible! Conservative projected  magnitudes would be from magnitude 4.9 – 7.7 on the Richter scale. Areas  that would be affected in California are unknown, but may go as far east as Joshua Tree in the Mojave Desert, which experienced a 7.0 earthquake on October 16, 1999 32 miles north of Joshua Tree.

WATCH FOR  EARTHQUAKES OCCURRING AT SEA SOUTHEAST OF MAJOR COASTAL CITIES OR CENTERS
Based on recent trends, earthquakes occurring at sea in the Pacific  Ocean southeast of Los Angles (San Diego and San Francisco) are important areas to watch, as we have seen a lot of devastating earthquakes occurring “at sea,â€� this year (Uranus in Pisces) southeast of major cities and centers, including Peru, Taiwan, Philippines, Tokyo and a milder 4.3 magnitude earthquake in the United Kingdom (UK) on April 28, 2007  southeast off the coast of the English Channel.

EARTHQUAKE INSURANCE
California Earthquake Authority (CEA) is caught up in a  major fight over new funding and has decided to raise earthquake insurance  premiums up to 8% more per year for Californian residents, while cutting  insurers contribution by up to one-third. Under the State’s plan, insurance companies would get $1 billion reduction in the amount they must make available to pay claims to California residents in the event of a major earthquake catastrophe.

KARTRINA REMEMBERED
If a major earthquake occurs soon in California, earthquake insurance rates will rise even further, perhaps out of the reach of ordinary residents leaving the  poor and economically disadvantage at grave risk. Disaster management performance in the states of Louisiana and Georgia in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has been poor and ineffective, falling short in meeting  the needs of affected residents.

EARTHQUAKE PREDICTION
Even for the poor and disadvantaged, the best protection against earthquake disasters is and shall forever remain embedded in preparation. If today’s  politically sensitive, modern scientists, mathematicians and physicists can’t accurately predict major earthquakes occurring in the world within a socially acceptable, useful and narrowly defined frame work and time frames, they should spend more of their time, knowledge and resources  stressing the need for earthquake and disaster preparation.

Story of the Boy Prophet

Prophecies given in the 1850s of Persecution coming first to the Armenians
who were to flee to America, and later flee yet again from another persecution

Demos Shakarian was the president and founder of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship International (FGBMFI).  His family brought him from Armenia. He told his early history to John and Elizabeth Sherrill in a book entitled, "The Happiest People on Earth". 1975, Steward Press, ISBN 0-8007-8362X.

In this book published 25 years ago, in Chapter 1, is set out the history of Efim Gerasemovitch Klubniken, an 11-year-old  "Boy Prophet" in Armenia who prophesied two prophesies relating to those people about 1850. The first had to do with a coming persecutionof that area at the foot of Mount Ararat and the Lord showed him maps and writing of where they were to go. That turned out to be America. That prophecy was fulfilled, exactly as he described. The second prophecy is "sealed" and purportedly relates to a time they would have to leave America because of another persecution.  Set forth below is the section from the book:

"It was the beginning of great changes in our family's life, and one of the first was a change in attitude toward Kara Kala's most famous citizen. This person was known throughout the region as the "Boy Prophet": even though at the time of the incident with the steer's head the Boy Prophet was fifty-eight years old.

The man's real name was Efim Gerasemovitch Klubniken, and he had a remarkable history.  He was of Russian origin, his family being among the first Pentecostals to come across the border, settling permanently in Kara Kala. From earliest childhood Efin had shown a gift for prayer, frequently going on long fasts, praying around the clock.

As everybody in Kara Kala knew, when Efin was eleven years old he had heard the Lord calling him again to one of his prayer vigils. This time he persisted for seven days and nights, and during this time received a vision.

This in itself was not extraordinary. Indeed, as Grandfather had been accustomed to grumble, anyone who went that long without eating or sleeping was bound to start seeing things. But what Efin was able to do during those seven days was not so easy to explain.

Efin could neither read nor write. Yet, as he sat in the little stone cottage in Kara Kala, he saw before him a vision of charts and a message in a beautiful handwriting. Efin asked for pen and paper. And for seven days sitting at the rough plank-table where the family ate, he laboriously copied down the form and shape of letters and diagrams that passed before his eyes.

When he had finished, the manuscript was taken to people in the village who could read. It turned out that this illiterate child had written out in Russian characters a serious of instructions and warnings. At some unspecified time in the future, the boy wrote, every Christian in Kara Kala would be in terrible danger. He foretold a time of unspeakable tragedy for the entire area, when hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children would be brutally murdered. The time would come, he warned, when everyone in the region must flee. They must go to a land across the sea. Although he had never seen a geography book, the Boy Prophet drew a map showing exactly where the fleeing Christians were to go. To the amazement of the adults, the body of water depicted so accurately in the drawing was not the nearby Black Sea, or the Caspian Sea, or even the farther-off Mediterranean, but the distant and unimaginable Atlantic Ocean! There was no doubt about it, nor about the identity of the land on the other side: the map plainly indicated the east coast of the United States of America.

But the refugees were not to settle down there, the prophecy continued. They were to continue traveling until they reached the west coast of the new land. There, the boy wrote, God would bless them and prosper them, and cause their seed to be a blessing to the nations.

A little later Efin also wrote out a second prophecy, but all anybody knew about that one was that it dealt with the still more distant future--when the people would once again have to flee. Efin asked his parents to seal this prophecy in an envelope, and repeated the instructions he had received concerning it. He had been told in his vision that only a future prophet--chosen by the Lord for this task--could open the envelope and read the prophecy to the church. Anyone opening the envelope before this time would die.

Well, many people in Kara Kala smiled at these romances of a little boy. Surely there must be some explanation of the "miraculous" writing. Perhaps he had secretly taught himself to read and write, just in order to play this trick on the village.

Others however took to calling Efin the Boy Prophet and were not at all convinced that the message was not genuine. Every time news of fresh political troubles reached the tranquil hills around Ararat, they would get out the now-yellowed pages and read them again. Troubles between the Moslem Turks and the Christian Armenians did see to be growing in intensity. In August, 1896--four years before Grandfather butchered the blind steer--hadn't a Turkish mob murdered more than six thousand Armenians on the streets of Constantinople?

But Constantinople was far away, and years had passed since the giving of the prophecy. True, prophecies, in the Bible often came dozens, even hundreds of years before the event. ut most people in Kara Kala, Grandfather among them, believed such genuine prophetic gifts had ceased with the completion of the Bible.

And then, a little after the turn of the century, Efin announced that the time was near for the fulfillment of the words he had written down nearly fifty years before. "We must flee to America. All who remain here will perish."

Here and there in Kara Kala Pentecostal families packed up and left the holdings that had been their ancestral possessions time out of mind. Efin and his family were among the first to go. As each group of Pentecostals left Armenia, they were jeered by those who remained behind. Skeptical and disbelieving folk--including many Christians--refused to believe that God could issue pinpoint instructions for modern people in a modern age.

But the instructions proved correct. In 1914 a period of unimaginable horror arrived for Armenia.  With remorseless efficiency the Turks began the bloody business of driving two-thirds of the population out into the Mesopotamian desert. Over a million men, women and children died in these death marches, including every inhabitant of Kara Kala. Another half a million were massacred in their villages, in a pogrom that was later to provide Hitler his blueprint for the extermination of the Jews. "The world did not intervene when Turkey wiped out the Armenians," he reminded his followers. "It will not intervene now."

The few Armenians who managed to escape the besieged areas brought with them tales of great heroism.  They reported that the Turks sometimes gave Christians an opportunity to deny their faith in exchange for their lives.  The favorite procedure was to lock a group of Christians in a barn and set it afire: "If you are willing to accept Mohammed in place of Christ we'll open the doors."  Time and again, the Christians chose to die, chanting hymns of praise as the flames engulfed them.

Those who had heeded the warning of the Boy Prophet and sought asylum in America, heard the news with dismay. Grandfather Demos was among these who had fled. After his experience with the Russian patriarch, Grandfather no longer discounted the validity of prophecy. ..."

In Chapter two is this comment:

Afterwards he (my grandfather) always have (sic) to describe Efim's funeral in 1915, the largest one that Los Angeles Flats had every seen. Efin had not attended the Gless Street church (where the services were in Armenian) but the Russian-language church a few blocks away.  ...

"And what about the second prophecy?"  the Mexican-Americans would ask.  "The one that's still to happen?"
"It's still being safeguarded.  Efin's sons have it." "And you die if you open it?"
"Unless you are the one appointed by the Lord."
"Who do you think that's going to be?"
But of course no one knew the answer to that...

"I thought of the second message the Boy Prophet received so long ago, still sealed and unopened.  Does it foretell a great persecution coming to Christians in America, just before the Lord returns? Personally I think so. I think the spirit is being given us in preparation for this time: to bind us into a Body, to assign to each one of us the task he alone can do for the welfare of that Body. I often wonder who will be told to open that message and read it to the church. ..."
